The 2018 Impact Summit - Community Indicators in Action is organized around exciting plenary sessions and breakout sessions that reflect a wide variety of interests. Tracks include Data Tools, Measure, Engage, Data to Action, Community Indicators-Performance Measure Integration, Sustain and Share. Breakfast, lunch and the Monday night reception are all included.
This learning tour, sponsored in part by the McKnight Foundation, will highlight how data is being used to advance health, community wealth building, and food justice on the East Side of Saint Paul. Speakers at each location will highlight the East Side food systems, innovative partnerships, and their experience in collaboration building, co-op and urban farming, cooperative grocery, commercial kitchens, entrepreneurship, and workforce development.
Participants will be picked up at Graduate Minneapolis Hotel and will be shuttled by bus to each location. The Tour will culminate with a lunch presentation at a commercial kitchen.
If you are new to GIS, this is the workshop for you. This five-hour workshop introduces participants to web-based mapping and spatial analysis using Esri's ArcGIS Online. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on activities, participants will learn the fundamentals of designing and sharing online maps. Topics covered include preparing data for use, online data sources, map design, and spatial analysis.
